After the meeting, Mr. Khalid Kanoo said that to ensure the efficiency of the judging process, the judges for this session were carefully selected after deliberations by all members of the Board of Trustees, during which they reviewed a long list of nominated names, and nine of them were selected to participate in the judging process for the three fields of the award. He added that a budget has been allocated to promote the fields of the award during the current year to encourage the largest possible number of people to participate in it, whether from the Gulf or Arab countries. He also welcomed all those who have registered their desire to participate so far, whose number has exceeded 250 participants.
The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, which has a total prize money of $74,000 and is considered one of the most prestigious scientific and cultural awards locally and in the Gulf, will continue to accept participation for the three areas of the award until next June.
