The decision came after the members of the Board of Trustees were briefed on many regional and global experiences in the field of Appreciation Awards, and after many professors and researchers participating in the competitions expressed their desire to present scientific research papers at the highest levels and suitable for publication in peer-reviewed international journals. Based on this decision, the participants in the scientific competitions for The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award will be allowed, starting from this current Eleventh Season, to present research papers in either the Arabic or English languages.
Regarding the new decision, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, the Dignitary Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, confirmed that the decision to adopt English as a second language for writing the research papers accepted by the Award in its competitions comes within the framework of the Award’s keenness to keep pace with developments that have occurred in the field of research writing, stressing that The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, since its establishment 25 years ago, has been concerned primarily with the content of the research papers and the level of usefulness which it provides sciences of all kinds with. The Dignitary Khalid Kanoo expressed his thanks and appreciation to the heads of local and Gulf universities and academic institutions and the researchers participating in the Award competitions in the current and previous seasons for their proposals that are in the interest of advancing the Award.
