The meeting was attended by Dr Osama Al-Ali, consultant in Artificial Intelligence and Strategic Planning, and Dr Jassim Haji, the Chairman of the Global Artificial Intelligence Group, and Dr Abdulla Alabbasi, Director of the Energy and Research Programme at the Derasat Centre, who provided a comprehensive explanation of artificial intelligence and its uses, and suggested the most appropriate ways to prepare a competition that keeps pace with the era and is in line with the Vision and objectives of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award.
Regarding the Consultative Meeting, the Dignitary Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, stressed the keenness of those in charge of the Award to seek the opinion of experts and specialists in new fields and to use their experience in designing the Award’s competitions according to the best standards so that the Award continues to keep pace with everything that is modern. Kanoo also thanked and appreciated the specialised professors who participated in the meeting and contributed to providing the attendees with rich and useful information about the latest technology developments, expressing his pride in the distinguished Bahraini cadres in the field of artificial intelligence.
It is worth noting that, in January 2024, The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award honoured ten winners at the conclusion of the Eleventh Season, who received cash prizes totalling 72 thousand dollars. The ten winners joined 45 winners who took First Places in all the Award Seasons that were launched since 1998. The Award is now preparing to launch a group of new competitions in the Twelfth Season.
