Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies "Derasat", hailed the societal message of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, and its distinguished role in motivating creativity and progress in the fields of thought, literature, science, arts and entrepreneurship, that copes with the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him.

During his reception to the members of the Board of Trustees of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, he reviewed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between the two sides in encouraging the culture of innovation and scientific research in the various political, economic, cultural and scientific fields, and promoting youth creations in knowledge, humanities and community development at the various national, regional and international levels.

The meeting was attended by Mrs Mona Mubarak Kanoo, the Vice-chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, as well as the members of the Board of Trustees Mr Talal Fawzi Kanoo, Dr Ibrahim Jamal Al Hashimi, Dr Nadhem Al-Saleh, Dr Abdulla Abdulrahman Yateem, Dr Hassan Ibrahim Kamal, Dr Walid Khalil Zubari, and Mr Mohammed Darwish the Secretary General of the Award, in addition to a number of officials from "Derasat" Center, where Dr Hamad Ibrahim Al-Abdullah, the Executive Director of the Center, gave a presentation on the Center’s most prominent activities, research and intellectual events, and scientific publications.
