The Dignitary Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, praised the continuous interest witnessed in the Award’s Competitions by researchers in the scientific fields as well as artists and creators, expressing his wishes of success for everyone in submitting valuable and distinguished scientifically and artistically distinguished participations. Kanoo also praised the efforts made by the General Secretariat of the Award in communicating with universities, academic institutions, local and regional artistic centres and associations, urging them to participate in the competitions, which contributes to attracting many participants. Kanoo stressed that one of the most important goals of the Award is to stimulate competing in the fields of science, arts, and culture, not only at the local level, but also at the regional and Arab level, in order to encourage the researchers and creators to work, achieve, and develop the content they provide.
The number of participants in the Economic Scientific Research Competition so far reached 35 participants, with participation from eight Arab countries: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Republic of Algeria. The number of participants who passed the first screening process in the Scientific Research Competition in the field of technology, which is organized by the Award in cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic, reached 8 participants. The Fine Arts Competition witnessed great participation, reaching 36 participants so far.
With these numbers, the Eleventh Season of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award achieved an unprecedented achievement in the number of participants in its competitions, as the total number of participants in the Tenth Season reached 56 participants and in the Ninth Season 55 participants. The opportunity is still available to everyone who has the desire to join and participate in some of the multiple Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award competitions, whose total prizes amount to 74 thousand dollars, as the participations in the Economic Scientific Research Competition close on 1 July 1, 2023, and for the Fine Arts Competition on 31 August, 2023.
