The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award Receives Participations of the Fine Arts Competition at the End of August
The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award is preparing to draw down the curtain on the last competitions of the Eleventh Season on 31 August, 2023, which is the date for submitting the artworks for the Fine Arts Competition, which it launched at the beginning of this year. It is expected that the Fine Arts Competition will witness a large turnout from Bahraini artists and art enthusiasts, especially after the confirmation of the registration of more than 140 participants in the Competition.

The Dignitary Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, expressed his happiness at the intense interest in the three areas of the Award, which include the University Scientific Research Competition in cooperation with Bahrain Polytechnic, the Scientific Research Competition in the Economic Field, and the Fine Arts Competition. Kanoo praised the cooperation of the Supreme Council for Arts, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, and the art centres and galleries in Bahrain, which contributed to promoting the Fine Arts Competition specifically, which led to the Competition’s topic reaching large numbers of interested people.

The Fine Arts Competition for The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award for the Eleventh Season was entitled (Bahraini Women) and left the participants free to express the title through artistic works of various shapes and character, including drawing, sculpture, printing, and other arts. The First Place prize for the Competition reaches ten thousand dollars, and will be allocated to the best artistic work that expresses Bahraini women based on the evaluation of a judging committee composed of specialists in the field of fine arts.
