The book contains 251 pages. In preparing this book, the author relied on four references and four interviews with four personalities, three of whom are members of the Kanoo Family, and the fourth is a citizen of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He worked for many years as a general manager in The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group of Companies, which made him close to the members of this noble Family.

Since its inception, the “Kanoo Family” has maintained benign customs and lofty morals, believing that life is not measured by years, months, and days, but by the useful work an individual achieves, and the good words and kind deed he/she contributes. The Family believes in the human being, values the mind, and links each of them with a view to the future and adopting high ideals.

About this decent Family came the book (The Kanoo Family-Between Construction and Belonging) by its author, Dr Saeed bin Attia Abu A’ali, with graceful expressions and sincere words. He saw and had the contentment that in our Arab and Islamic world there are houses of merchants and families competing in charitable work, through scientific institutions, cultural award and development works. At the forefront of these families comes the Kanoo Family, which does a lot for the sake of goodness and righteousness.

The author crowned his book with a photograph of the senior of the Family Haji Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo, may Allah have mercy on him, who, with his wisdom and sapience, was able to instill in the hearts of the sons and daughters of the Family the love and pursuit of knowledge, and respect for and preservation of work.

Through the pages of the book, after Haji Yusuf, the author reviewed the biography of the Family members who had a pioneering role in managing the company’s business, in particular, and in the active participation in charitable, educational and cultural works in general, such as: Jassim bin Mohammed, Ali bin Mohammed, Mohammed bin Jassim, Ahmed bin Ali, Hamad bin Ali, Abdulla bin Ali, Mubarak bin Jassim, Abdulrahman bin Jassim, Abdul Latif bin Jassim and Abdulaziz bin Jassim.

Then the author moved on, in his brilliant style, to place in the hands of the reader the lives of the future generation of the sons and daughters of this noble Family, such as: Khalid bin Mohamed bin Jassim, Yusuf bin Ahmed bin Ali, Fawzi bin Ahmed bin Ali, Ali bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim., Ali bin Abdulla bin Ali, Mishal bin Hamed bin Ali, Dina bint Mubarak bin Jassim, who gained the confidence of the Board of Directors and was appointed the Director General of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs, Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim and Mohammed bin Abdul Latif bin Jassim.

The author also reviewed the witnesses to the achievement achieved by the Kanoo Family, the talented and capable people who spent decades working for Kanoo Company, such as Abdulla bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Abdulla bin Khalifa Al-Mutlaq, who became Director General of the Company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mubarak bin Saad Al Atwi, who the Government of Bahrain chose to work as the Assistant Undersecretary of the Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism.

At the end of the book, the author Abu A’ali touched on important events in the life of the Kanoo Family, the ambitious Family that still supports comprehensive development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and at the level of the greater Arab world.
